This policy explains what information is processed when you use qlinky.net and what choices you have. The short version: what you type in the generators doesn't leave your browser, and the only data involved is the technical data needed to serve the site, measure visits in aggregate and show advertising.
QLinky does not collect, store or transmit to its own servers the information you enter in the generators: phone numbers, email addresses, usernames, messages, addresses or event details. Links and the QR code are built in your browser by code that runs on your device. The library that draws the QR code is hosted on the site itself and doesn't call external services.
There are no user accounts and no forms that send data. We have no way of knowing which links you generated.
The site saves a single preference in your browser's local storage: light or dark mode. That value stays on your device, is not sent to any server and you can delete it from your browser settings.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any hosting service, Cloudflare processes technical data from each request (IP address, browser type, page requested) to deliver the pages and protect the site against abuse.
To know how many visits the site gets we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a measurement tool that doesn't use cookies and doesn't individually identify the people who visit the site. We only see aggregate data, such as most visited pages, country of origin and device type.
The site is funded by advertising and may show ads through Google AdSense.
If you visit us from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you'll see a consent message that lets you accept, reject or configure the use of cookies for advertising purposes. You can change your choice later from the privacy options link that message leaves available on the page.
The links you generate lead to third-party services: WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, your email or messaging app, Google Calendar or Google Maps. When you or someone else opens one of those links, that service's privacy policies apply, not this one.
Keep in mind that the content of a link is visible to whoever receives it: the number, the email address and the pre-filled message are part of the address. Don't include confidential information in a pre-filled message.
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to object to its processing. Since QLinky doesn't store personal data about the people who use the generators, in practice those rights are exercised over the data processed by the providers mentioned above, with the tools each one offers. If you're unsure how to do it, write to us and we'll point you in the right direction.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date shown at the top of the page.
